How Can Physicians Educate Patients About Health Care Policy Issues?
Our friend, Dr. Paul Gordon, designed and completed a very interesting sabbatical from his position as an attending physician at a Family Practice Residency this past year. Paul rode his bike across America interviewing people in small towns along the way about the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In this Commentary from Academic Medicine, 2016, Paul shares some of those stories and encourages physicians to educate their patients about health care issues to assist them in making educated choices during elections and to better understand public policies. Many thanks to Paul for allowing us to share his thoughts and experiences.
