Your CME Moderator
Dr. Mike Reeder is a sports medicine physician, educator and cyclist.
Dr. Reeder is fellowship trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine and board certified in Emergency Medicine. He practiced for 25 years caring for active patients, both young and old, of all abilities. This included youth and collegiate athletes, professional athletes, Olympians, and Senior Games participants. Recently, he has taken that clinical experience into the academic world at Colorado Mesa University and the Monfort Family Human Performance Lab. (Click Here for CMU bio)
He is also passionate about being involved in practical medical education that focuses on improvement of patient care. Over the years he has enjoyed being involved in the education of students, residents, sports medicine fellows, and other physicians. He is the current Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Program at Colorado Mesa University and a Preceptor for St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency.
Areas of particular interest include musculoskeletal medicine and Sports Medicine topics. Because of the impact on his patients, he has become especially interested in the importance of Exercise and Nutrition as both treatment and prevention of chronic disease.
