Information to Know

Ready for a challenge and endless fun? Join us for our mountain biking conference in Colorado!

We have hundreds of miles of trails and terrain here in our Grand Valley. Most of our riding will take place in Fruita - 6 miles west of Grand Junction. Fruita is situated in our beautiful Grand Valley and is considered by many as a premier mountain biking destination. Write-ups in multiple mountain biking and outdoor magazines are helping to put us on the map! Some of the mountain biking areas we will explore are at the West end of our Valley: 18 Road (Chutes & Ladders, Joe’s Ridge, Vegetarian, Kessels Run, and PBR) and Kokopelli (Horsethief, Mary’s Loop, and the great beginner/warm up trail of Rustler's Loop...just to name a few). There are numerous trails to choose from, some ledgy, rocky, and single-tracked loops…we are working on our best options. To check out some of these possible trails, CLICK HERE to see where our desert terrain will take you.

We will have a SAG wagon back at the trailhead parking lot and there will be group ride leaders available to ride with. We strongly suggest riding with at least one other person in case something goes awry.

You may choose to bring your own mountain bike, as riding on your own familiar seat has it's benefits, but know that we have a lot of mountain bike rentals available to you here in the Grand Valley. The bike shops in our area you might want to contact are: Browns Cycles on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction; the contact person is Chris Brown and the shop number is 970-245-7939. Ruby Canyon is also located on Main Street and the contact person is Ryan Cranston, shop number is 970-241-0141. Ruby Canyon is located on 3rd & Main Street, across the street from our conference location. Another great bike shop is Over The Edge Sports in downtown Fruita, 6 miles away from our hotel. They have an abundance of mountain bike rentals and we will work with you on getting the bike to our hotel upon arrival. Let us know if you have any questions!  Adventure Cycling Association has great information on ways to ship your bike.

Our conference will be held at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, located in Historic Downtown Grand Junction. SpringHill is conveniently located four miles from the airport. You will be right in the heart of Grand Junction on Main Street, a tree-lined street that invites you to stroll past shops, restaurants, breweries, music venues, and galleries. We have secured a discounted group rate. If you choose to come to GJ before the start of the conference, or stay after it is over, this rate will still apply. The discounted group rate of $129.95 + tax for our room block ends one month prior to the start of our conference. The nightly parking fee is $7.00.
