Information to Know
Cycling CME is once again partnering with Fabio Tours for a spectacular week of fun and adventure! Together we will enjoy a fantastic week of CME, cycling, food, culture, and more!
This 7-day trip takes us to the Tuscany region of Italy. We will be staying at Villa Nonno Fernando, a beautiful stone farmhouse built at the beginning of the 19th century. The villa features a swimming pool, outdoor veranda for dining, gardens, and incredible views!
For the CME portion of this tour we offer 10 AMA PRA Category 1 credits, with our theme being exercise and nutrition as medicine. Check out our CME Agenda for more detailed information. Our CME lectures and learning will take place in the conference room and out on the road.
We will cycle between 30-50 miles each cycling day, with Fabio Tours, along quiet roads in the Tuscan hillside. These intermediate routes will take us through vineyards, olive groves, small medieval towns, and breathtaking vistas. Bring your own bike if you want to ride in your own saddle, or you can make rental arrangements through Fabio Tours for a weekly rate (price to be announced soon).
We will enjoy cooking classes with Chef Fabio Flagiello. And we will certainly enjoy eating his Italian Cuisine, with wine pairing from local winemakers. We will incorporate lectures on healthy cooking during these cooking demonstrations.
Some of our fun side excursions will include a trip to Felsina Winery (wine tasting and tour), Pratesi Shoe Factory (Italian shoes and Leather Purses), and an Italian Shirt Shop!
Whether you've already been to Italy and can't wait to go again, or you've always dreamed of traveling and cycling in this incredible country...now is the time!
