Start/End: Florence, Italy (Fabio Tours will shuttle you from Florence to our Tuscan Villa and back again at the conference’s end)
CME Cost: $400 - All participants needing CME will pay this fee
Trip Cost: All-inclusive except for one date night, CME fee, and bike rental. Double Occupancy $3,600. Bring a Spouse/Partner/Friend, and they pay $2,600. Single Occupancy $4,200
Weekly Bike Rental Cost: $300 Regular Bike or $320 E-Bike -payment made through Fabio Tours

Lodging: 7 nights in a beautiful Italian Villa

Cycling Distance: 35-50 miles each cycling day (SAG wagon provided)

We offer 10 AMA PRA Category 1 credit hours for the CME portion of this tour, with our theme being exercise and nutrition as medicine. Check out our CME Agenda for more detailed information.
Cycling CME is partnering with Fabio Tours for a spectacular week of fun and adventure! We will enjoy a fantastic week of CME, cycling, food, culture, and more!
This 7-day trip takes us to the Tuscany region of Italy. We will stay at a beautiful Villa Tuscan villa where we will enjoy living room lectures and from where our cycling begins.
We will enjoy a cooking class with Chef Fabio Flagiello. And we will certainly enjoy eating his team’s Italian Cuisine, with wine pairing from local winemakers. In addition, we will incorporate lectures on healthy cooking.
We look forward to exploring the beauty of Italy on this CME, cycling, wine, and culinary adventure!
Our Itinerary
Here is a glimpse of our typical conference itinerary; this schedule is from our 2023 Conference in Cortona!
Day 1: Saturday, June 17th
1:30 pm Pick up in Florence, at Hotel Una Vittoria. We also suggested arriving the day before to ensure you are in town for pickup and enjoying exploring Florence!
3:00 pm Arrive at our Villa - Nonno Fernando
5:00 pm Bike Set-Up
7:00 pm Welcome and Cocktail Hour
8:00 pm Dinner on the veranda
Day 2: Sunday, June 18th
8:00 am Breakfast & CME
9:30 am Ride 40 miles through the Valle di Chianna e Castiglione Fiorentino (Please always be ready to ride 10 minutes before the ride’s start time).
1:30 pm Lunch at the Villa
4:00 pm CME
6:00 pm Depart for Cortona to visit the Historic Downtown
8:30 pm Dinner at Pane e Vino Ristorante
10:30 pm Return to the Villa
Day 3: Monday, June 19th
8:00 am Breakfast & CME
9:00 am Shuttle to Chianti
10:30 pm Ride 35 miles in Chianti, including Castellina, Radda, Gaiole, Brolio
1:30 pm Picnic Lunch in Gaiole, the home of the Eroica
2:30 pm Visit Gaiole and Eroica Shop
4:30 pm Arriving at Castello di Volpaia, wine tasting
7:00 pm Dinner at L’Osteria di Volpaia
Day 4: Tuesday, June 20th
8:30 am Breakfast & CME
9:30 am Ride 40 miles to Lago Transimeno
2:00 pm Lunch at the Villa
3:00 pm Afternoon CME
4:00 pm Afternoon at the Pool and relaxation
8:00 pm Dinner on the Veranda
Day 5: Wednesday, June 21st

9:00 am Ride 40 miles around the Hills of Cortona, ending in Historic Cortona
1:00 pm Lunch in Historic Cortona Square, followed by a short downhill ride to Villa
5:00 pm Cooking Class w/ Chef Fabio & CME
8:00 pm Dinner under the Veranda
Day 6: Thursday, June 22nd
